Over the last year, April Parry with Pan Productions has been keeping an eye on us here at Victoria Air Maintenance. She is a local documentary film maker who has taken an interest in our restoration work. April has put together a fantastic film showcasing the work we have been doing on the Mosquito project over the past year.
Work on the Mosquito has been moving forward over the past few months. Mel and Marty have been running the new plumbing throughout the Mosquito. Click below to view some pictures of the progress!
Work has been moving along during the last few months on the restoration of the deHavilland Mosquito. We would like to thank the EAA AirVenture Museum in Oshkosh, Wisconsin and Kermit Weeks for their help by allowing us to visit and take photographs of their Mosquito. This is a huge help! Thank you!
In order to move the Mosquito by truck, the fuselage needed to be removed from the wing section. Today the engineers at Victoria Air Maintenance put the wing section up on jacks and then lifted the fuselage back up onto the wing. Click here to view pictures of the reassembly.
Today, the deHavilland Mosquito arrived at Victoria Air Maintenance. The Mosquito was disassembled earlier in the week and was then transported by truck. CF-HML is now safely in the hangar at Victoria Air Maintenance where the skilled mechanics and engineers can begin work on the overhaul. Click here to view pictures of the move.
