Crashed Turbo Otter

In May, 2010 de Havilland DHC-3 Turbo Otter SX-ARO nosed over during a water landing at an airshow in Biscarrosse, France. Just another small reminder when landing on water to double check that your gear is up!

Victoria Air Maintenance sent a small crew to France to disassemble the crashed aircraft, load it in a container and ship it back to Canada for repairs. The repairs are almost complete and soon this Otter will return to the skies.

Repairing the Damage

Many of the instruments had water damage from being at the bottom of the lake. They all had to be either repaired, overhauled or completely replaced.
