Victoria Air Maintenance has a Ministers Delegate for Maintenance (MD-M) on staff.  Mr McCaig has extensive professional experience with many types and models of aircraft and holds an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer license in all available ratings.  Mr McCaig has been given MD-M Delegation by Transport Canada for the issuance of Certificates of Airworthiness following import and for issuance of Export Airworthiness Certificates prior to export in the following categories of aircraft.

• Chapter 523 - VLA - Very Light Aeroplanes
• Chapter 523 - Normal, Utility, Aerobatic and Commuter Category Aeroplanes

Mr McCaig is currently the Victoria Air Maintenance Quality Assurance Manager (QA) and Deputy to the Person Responsible for Maintenance (PRM).  Previously Mr McCaig was the PRM for two other Approved Maintenance Organizations (AMO) and has extensive experience in development of policies and procedures for maintenance facilities, flight training and air operators.   As an AME Mr McCaig has conducted thousands of 100hr/annual inspections, periodic inspections, pre-purchase inspections, post lease acceptance checks and aircraft record research as well as many importations and exportations.

With current management and quality assurance experience Mr McCaig is well versed on the Canadian Aviation Regulations as they pertain to Approved Maintenance Organizations, Air Carriers, Importations and Exportations.
